Datsun Redi-GO GOLD Edition comes a month after the launch of the Renault Kwid 2nd Anniversary Edition in a bid to steal the limelight from the new edition.
This limited edition will be based on the T(O) trim and is priced at Rs. 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is Rs. 12,404 more than the standard T(O) 1.0L variant. It comes with 12 new exciting features and minor cosmetic changes. The Redi-GO GOLD edition is available in a total of three paint shade options – Grey, Silver and White.
The exterior embellishments include gold and black decals on the bonnet, roof, tailgate and on the sides, the gold accents can also be found on wheel covers and front grille. Features-wise, the Redi-GO GOLD edition gets a Bluetooth audio system, reverse parking sensors, remote keyless entry, etc… Other features such as driver-side airbag and LED DRLs are missed-out, as the limited edition is based on the T(O) and not the top-end S variant.
While on the inside, the interior comes decorated with gold-themed seats and gold trim around the centre console. It comes with custom mood lighting which can be controlled via a mobile phone using an Ambient Lighting app. The Ambient Lighting app allows the user to choose a certain colour for the interior based on his/her mood.
Mechanically, the car remains unchanged offered with the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which produces 67 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque @ 4,250 rpm. The engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Redi-GO GOLD Edition buyers can also avail of the Datsun CARE service package.
