General Motors India has recently launched the refreshed version of Spark. In India, the Spark is value-for-money offering from GM with a 1.0-litre petrol engine which is very fuel-efficient. However, the pictures seen above is not about the fuel efficient Spark, rather a story of a Chevrolet Spark aka Chevrolet Matiz in other regions, getting a heart transplant.
The Spark seen here has been converted into a track racer. Powered by a Corvette Z06 7.0-litre V8, this one-off track racing version of Chevy Spark is up for taking, online on eBay. Auction prices starting from as low as €43,000 (Rs 29.6 lakhs) and counting, for this Chevrolet Matiz / Spark Track Racer, which is hardly anything compared to its actual built value of €250,000 (Rs 1.72 crores) .
This massive engine is capable of churning out 550 hp. The car is to be found on sale on eBay’s German website. It was built by racing expert Fourdin Auto Sport and based on a 3-door Matiz. Performance is exceptionally good in the Matiz V8 which can speed from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.7 second and upto 200 kmph in 10.94 seconds while on its way to a top speed of 260 kmph. The car also shares its braking and steering systems with the Corvette.
What we say? Although the car is powered by a MASSIVE 7.0-liter Corvette V8 engine, the car still looks funny.
