Car Discounts in July 2013 –
 
Mercedes-Benz – 

With the launch of the facelifted E-class, Mercedes-Benz dealerships are trying to clear out old stock of the outgoing E-class model by offering a substantial discount on Merc’s mainstay saloon. You can get an opportunity to save upto Rs 7 lakh on this car. You could also get the larger V6 versions of both the diesel and the petrol which are not available so far in the updated car.
 
Volkswagen –

The Trendline and Highline variants of both the petrol and diesel Polo are on offer with free insurance, which ranges from Rs 19,000 to Rs 24,000. The petrol variants are on offer with Rs 10,000 in cash benefits and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. On the diesels, the exchange bonus is Rs 10,000. The Trendline gets Rs 15,000 off as cash discount and the Comfortline comes with Rs 7,500 off.

2012 models of the Passat Trendline are selling with a discount of upto Rs 2.5 lakh and the 2012 model Highline is currently carrying a Rs 2 lakh cash discount. Avail of free insurance worth upto Rs 40,000, additional cash discounts upto Rs 10,000 depending on the version and exchange bonuses on all but the petrol automatic and the diesel Highline to the tune of upto Rs 20,000.
 
Chevrolet –

All versions of the Chevrolet Beat are on offer with free insurance that saves you upto Rs 15,000. There’s a Rs 10,000 loyalty bonus for those who currently own a Chevrolet and want to also buy the Beat. In case this is your first Chevrolet car, Rs 15,000 will be offered as exchange bonus when you trade in your old car at the showroom.

A dealer also told us that the Cruze is selling with upto Rs 60,000 off on the cost. Additionally, a corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000 can be had if you work for a listed corporate company. All this, along with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 when you sell your old car to them.
 
Mitsubishi –

Avail of free insurance on the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. This means that you can save close to Rs 63,000 on the SUV.
 
Toyota –

When you buy an Innova, ask for the Rs 20,000 cash and Rs 3,000 corporate discount. Take advantage of the exchange or loyalty bonus of Rs 10,000 too.
 
Skoda –

Dealers are pushing sales of the Yeti by offering a Rs 71,000 cash benefit and upto Rs 17,500 as corporate discount.
 
BMW –

We heard that the 3-series is currently being sold with a discount ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh and the bigger 5-series is selling at Rs 3 to 5 lakh off on the cost price.
