If there were rumours surrounding a possible TVS-BMW K03 to rival the KTM Duke/RC 390 and Yamaha R3, then this is as good a confirmation as any. BMW Motorrad pulled the wraps-off the BMW Concept Stunt G 310 at the Salao Duas Rodas Motorcycle Show in São Paulo.
Although BMW did not reveal engine specs on-board the new concept, the company said that sound of the motorcycle will get attention, yet one cannot see the exhaust clearly. Like the Apache RTRs, another highlight of the G 310 Concept is its short wheelbase. And let me tell you that the motorcycle seen here is not the production-spec TVS-BMW K03, but a stunt concept as the name itself suggests.
The production-spec model will carry some bits of this extensive stunt modified concept, like the upward-down front suspension, mono-shock rear suspension, BMW disc brakes, 5-spoke alloy wheels, and Metzeler tyres. As per the reports, the TVS-BMW K03 platform will spawn a roadster, a sportsbike and a GS-like adventure tourer, and we’ll not be surprised if those are revealed at the upcoming EICMA show in the coming weeks.
The BMW Concept Stunt G 310 is powered by a new single cylinder engine, other details are scarce at the moment. We expect it to get a 300cc/310cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol engine delivering around 30-35 PS of power, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. What’s interesting is that TVS-BMW has worked on an unusual back-to-front single-cylinder motor with the silencer from the rear of the engine, as seen in this concept.
