About the all-new 2013 Range Rover. Its brought to India via the CBU route. This luxury SUV will be launching in India quicker than expected on 30th November 2012 (as we reported yesterday). The new Range Rover seems to be having the same iconic design and body structure as the original one.
Its aluminium unibody structure is the reason behind its weight getting reduced by 420Kgs,as compared to the outgoing model. This has delivered significant enhancements in performance and agility. The four corner air suspension has been re-engineered as it will improve the SUV’s cornering ability.
Its interiors have got 4.7 inches of added rear legroom. Rear passengers will also get a two-place rear seat package. The noise levels have also been reduced thanks to the use of acoustic lamination on the side door glass and windscreen.The new suspension architecture delivers more confident steering with natural and intuitive steering feel.
The engine options haven’t been revealed as of now, but we expect Range Rover to continue with V8 petrol and 2 diesel engines options, all engines are mated to the new 8-speed ZF auto transmission. The price of the car is still not confirmed. But one can expect it to be in the range of approximately 1.70 crore.
