Kawasaki has launched the all-new Z900RS retro snaked motorcycle in the Indian market. The Z900RS will mark the Japanese bike maker’s entry to the growing Retro-naked motorcycle segment, consisting of the Triumph Street Triple. As expected the bike will come via the CBU route.
Mechanically, the bike is similar to the Z900RS sold internationally. It comes with features such as a digital instrument cluster, LED head-lamps and tail-lamps and so on. Safety features include Traction Control, ABS and both front and rear disc brakes.
As far as the engines are concerned, the Z900RS will be powered by a 948 cc engine making 109 BHP of power. It will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel tank of the Z900RS has a capacity of 17-litres, which is a bit less for a bike of its calibre.
Kawasaki has priced the import at Rs. 15.3 lakhs, which is cheaper than the Triumph Street Triple. As said earlier, the Triumph Street Triple will be the nemesis of the Z900RS. Kawasaki is reportedly planning to bring more bikes on this platform in the coming years.
