Home-grown car maker, Mahindra & Mahindra is all-set to launch the updated KUV100 called as ‘KUV100 NXT’, and as per reports, it could be launched early as next-month. This comes in the need to improve the sales of the compact SUV, which are slow–selling.
Changes include revised front and rear ends to make it more attractive on the outside. The car will also get additional features like LED DRLs, a piano black trim on the centre console and power and eco driving modes to name a few. It may also retain a six–seat layout and get two interior choices, very shade in lower trims and black in higher trims.
Engines could be a updated versions of the existing 1.2-litre G8O m Falcon giving 82 BHP of power and a 114 Nm of torque and a 1.2-litre D75 mFalcon giving 77 BHP of power and 190 Nm of torque. It comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. Improved mileage is expected offering more than 18.15 KMPL in petrol and 25.32 KMPL in diesel version.
The KUV100 NXT has been spotted a number of times wearing camouflage while on-test, giving us the hint that it’s launch is not far away. It will rival the likes of the Maruti Ignis, Hyundai Grand i10 and the Ford Figo. Mahindra is expected to price the KUV100 NXT aggressively, which may start from Rs. 5 lakh and go all the way to the Rs. 8 lakh barrier.
