The wait is almost over, folks. Tata Kite will be unveiled in the first week of December-2015, and as per reports, launch is scheduled for the first week of January-2016.
Tata Motors has officially released first promotional video of the #madeofgreat advertising campaign featuring its new global brand ambassador Lionel Messi. In the teaser video, certain parts of the upcoming Kite hatchback has been revealed like grille, head-light, door handles and tail-light.
Kite is the codename of upcoming hatchback and compact sedan from Tata Motors. Designed at Tata Motors design studios in Italy and the UK, the Kite is a global car. To be manufactured at Tata Motors’ Sanand plant in Gujarat from December-2015, Tata Kite will also be exported to a large number of markets abroad.
In India, the Kite is likely to be powered by a new 1.2-litre four-cylinder Revotron petrol engine, or a 1.05-litre three-cylinder common rail diesel engine. Paired to the engine is a choice between a 5-speed manual gearbox or an automated manual transmission (AMT), LPG and CNG is also likely to be available. It will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai i10.
