Here’s an interesting one for you. Maruti Suzuki’s premium hatchback that is going to be positioned above the Maruti Swift, at par with the Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz, the Maruti Baleno is now open for booking at all Nexa outlets across India.
The Baleno is scheduled to launch on October 26, 2015 in India with two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel engine equipped with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle from Suzuki) technology. The petrol Baleno is likely to get a CVT gearbox option.
Design-wise, the Baleno will get a sweptback headlamps, a V-shaped honeycomb grille, an air dam with horizontal slats, ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators, blackened A and B-pillars, wraparound tail lamps alloy wheels and a roof-mounted rear spoiler.
Inside, elements include all-black interiors with silver accents. The Baleno is expected to be equipped with features such as a multi-function steering wheel, 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, adaptive cruise control with speed limiter and Radar Brake Support. Its boot capacity is 355 litres.
