TVS Apache has been quite a popular series but the same has seen itself go southward in the popularity and sales arena because of lack of proper upgrades at regular intervals and the lack of a flagship motorcycle too. The rumors of TVS launching a bigger Apache have been around forever but we are finally seeing those rumors come closer to being the reality.

The latest reports that have started coming in suggest that TVS will be launching the Apache 200 finally in the first half of 2015 and the RTR 180 and 160 will get their much needed upgrade. The upgrade will not be a cosmetic one and will instead be a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic upgrade. The next generation Apache lineup will borrow design cues from the Draken concept which had everybody drooling when it was launched.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 will come with an-aluminium engine and will have a power output of more than 30 PS. The price tag will be below Rs 1.3 lakhs for an on-road price.
It will come with a displacement of almost 210cc and the same will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It will come with Michelin soft compound tires as standard alongside ABS. The bike will get a 140-section rear tyre but the details about the front tyre are still unknown. It will also get a mobile charging point and will feature split seats for the rider and pillion comfort.
As far as the RTR 160 and 180 are concerned, they will see an increase in their power outputs by about 10 percent. They will get a lightweight swingarm with the latter getting Michelin soft compound tyres. They will get a combi-braking system to bring them to a halt and will feature a mobile charging point too.
The RTR series has always had the Power-To-Weight ratio as its forte and the same will be carried forth in the next generation of the lineup too.
