We have reported earlier many times, Force Motors planning to launch a new SUV very soon, a member of the popular Team-BHP enthusiast forum snapped the Force Motors SUV testing in Mumbai .The seven seater SUV will be priced around Rs. 10-12 lakh, which means it will directly compete with Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari.
The new Force Motors SUV spied has a lot of similarity to Guangdong Foday Explorer III. This new Force Motors SUV is speculated to be power-driven by a striking 2.2 litre common-rail diesel enginet, which is basically a resultant from the previous Mercedes-C Class. Nevertheless, the new Force Motors SUV keeps the ability to churn out just about 140-160 bhp of power accompanied with about 30 kgm of torque. Force Motors assembles engines for Mercedes-Benz C, E and S-Class models in India.
The Force SUV’s boxy shape isn’t at all appealing and falls far short of the styling standards we have come to expect today. However, Force Motors hopes to make up by underpinning its SUV with some sturdy mechanicals.
One of the major highlights of Force Motors’ SUV is that, its engine will be united with a 5 speed manual transmission that will first be counted in rear-wheel drive arrangement and afterward, in coming few months, it will be a 4WD version.
The ride and handling has been tuned by Lotus and the Force SUV is currently in the sign-off stage before production begins around June. The production of Force Motors SUV will be done at Pithampur, Force Motor Plant in Madhya Pradesh. This plant also produces the massive range of trucks known by the name of Man Force. More updates to follow once we learn more.
