According to the sources from Auto Express, the new Skoda Fabia which is expected to be launched in 2015 has already begun its testing with looks similar to that of a Volkswagen Polo. The renderings provided by Auto Express gives a clear idea of the expected vehicle in 2015. When the all new 2015 Fabia was spotted testing initially, the images being uploaded was believed to be of the all-new Volkswagen Polo since the body dynamics and the overall styling had similarities to the existing Polo.
But later according to the reports provided by Auto Express it was confirmed that the images obtained was not of the new Polo but instead of the all-new 2015 Skoda Fabia since the wheel speed sensors of the spotted vehicle wore Skoda stickers. Skoda took the decision of withdrawing the current Fabia because of heavy losses incurred by the company i,e 1.5 lakhs per car (due to high import content and low localization) along with decrease in value of INR.
According to the reports from AutoCarIndia, the company has sold only around 3400 units and is expected to assemble the existing Fabia kits which will then be put on-sale till the existing stock lasts. Coming to the specifications, the all-new Skoda Fabia is expected to be featured with wide front grills, angular headlights, LED Tail lamps, different colored roof and wider fog lamps. Apart from this, Skoda is expected to work on the interiors and the leg room at the rear. Nothing much about the mechanical changes are known at the moment.
