Honda CB Trigger 150 – FrontView
In March-2013, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd unveiled its latest 150cc bike for India, the CB Trigger 150. Today, the company has announced the prices of the same with a starting price of Rs 67,384 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the CB Trigger, Honda is willing to get a bigger share in the 150cc sports bike segment.
The CB Trigger is the updated Unicorn Dazzler, while the former is not doing good in terms of sales, Honda is betting high on this new Avatar. The CB Trigger competes with premium 150cc bikes including the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i, Yamaha’s FZ-S and TVS’ Apache RTR 160. The new Honda will enter showrooms this-month.
Under the skin, the CB Trigger promises to come in with better performance and increased power. Its engine will generate 14 bhp at 8,500rpm and peak torque of 12.5Nm at 6,500rpm. It will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Fuel economy is pegged at 60 kmpl which in itself is sure to attract the attention of buyers, which appeals college students and daily commuters.
The bike will also be seen with interesting detailing such as LED taillights, alloy wheels and disc brake and monoshock suspension at the rear. A digital instrument console sporting both speedometer and tachometer will be launched in three colors – Meteor Green Metallic, Pearl Siena Red, and Black, CB Trigger will weigh 137 kgs.
Honda CB Trigger 150 – SideView
The CB Trigger comes with some unique first-in-class segment features like Combi Brake System (CBS), which is operated by the foot brake and applies both the front and rear brakes simultaneously. With the new CBS system, the braking distance is reduced by 32% as compared to conventional braking. The bike comes equipped with 240mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes.
Honda CB Trigger uses a lightweight and flexible diamond frame, which provides better handling and control for a sports model. The bike also gets a maintenance-free battery and a viscous air filter that is said to provide better dust resistance as compared to conventional filters.
