Land Rover India has officially introduced the updated Land Rover Discovery Sport with a new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine that replaces the 2.2-litre diesel unit that was used to power the vehicle previously.

With this update the 2.2-litre motor is now completely discontinued from JLR’s India line-up.

The most significant change here takes place under the hood. All diesel variants now receive the new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine available in two states of tune – 148 BHP & 382 Nm of torque and 177 BHP & 430 nm of torque. The 148 BHP derivative is offered in lower trim levels while only the top HSE Luxury trim gets the 177 BHP unit. All variants come with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The Discovery Sport is also available with a petrol engine in the HSE trim. This petrol model is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine which produces 237 BHP and 340 Nm of torque.

  • 2.0 Diesel Pure – Rs. 50.72 lakh
  • 2.0 Diesel SE – Rs. 57 lakh
  • 2.0 Diesel HSE – Rs. 60.86 lakh
  • 2.0 Diesel HSE Luxury – Rs. 64.76 lakh
  • 2.0 Petrol HSE – Rs. 59.81 lakh
