Here it is, the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift in India. The car is scheduled to launch in early days of February; with a new diesel engine and improved list of features.
Although Hyundai India has not revealed the fix date of launch, the official pricing of the 2017 Grand i10 facelift is leaked. The pricing for the base Era petrol variant is dropped by around Rs 32,000, while some variants get a price hike. The pricing for the new model ranges from Rs 4.58 lakh – Rs 7.32 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
The front and rear bumper sees the most obvious change to ensure an aggressive face; also gets with a redesigned front grille, front air curtains and new boomerang-shaped foglamp enclosures inspired by the Hyundai Elantra with the circular lamps placed at the corners. Also new to the exterior are redesigned 15-inch alloy rims and LED DRLs inserted in foglamps of the top-end Asta.
Not much in the way of physical change where the cabin is concerned, but there are list of new features, which include a 7-inch touchscreen display with voice command and navigation system, rear camera, Apple CarPlay, Mirror Link and Android Auto, and automatic climate control, the i10 being the only car in its class to offer such connectivity, the company says.
Under the hood, the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift petrol will retain the 1.2-litre VTVT 4-cyl petrol engine generating 83 PS and 114 Nm. Interestingly, the diesel variant receives an all-new 1.2-litre 3-cyl turbodiesel engine which is expected to deliver power and torque figures similar to that of the current-gen Swift, which is rated at 74 BHP and 190 Nm.
