Although Lamborghini is busy clearing the order of its new Huracan and working on the production-spec Asterion, the Italian carmaker would like to remind you it still builds the Aventador and also like to remind you it works with Pirelli. When these two reminders join, you get the car above: the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition.
The Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition pays tribute to the long history between the Italian supercar maker and Italian tyre maker Pirelli. All Lamborghinis have been equipped with Pirelli tyres since 1963 – that’s a really long time.
It’s basically an Aventador with a special two-tone colour scheme. No mechanical changes, according to the info that Lamborghini have released. There are two different two-tone schemes to pick from.
One option is for the roof, pillars, wing mirrors, hood, and intakes to be finished in matte black, combined with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body – Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater.
The other option is glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior (Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans).
The Pirelli Editions are available for order now and deliveries start in the early summer of 2015.
