Honda CR-V is one of the most popular soft-roaders globally. In the wake of showcasing a preproduction model at the Paris Motor Show not long from now, Honda has propelled the 2015 CR-V facelift in Europe with outline and mechanical changes.
The 2015 CR-V facelift gets changes to the front fascia & tweaks to the engine.
Remarkably, the front fascia now gets updated headlights that stream into the front grille, and new co-ordinated LED daytime running lights. A revised bumper, skid guard and LED taillights round off the progressions to the outside of the SUV.
As you step inside, you’ll notice that the revised CR-V’s dashboard gets new chrome trims, and a sliding armrest has been given between the front seats. An all-new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system fitted with Honda Connect – the organization’s application driven infotainment system – is presently standard over all variations.
The 4WD variation of the 2015 CR-V is fueled by 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel motor, with force and torque yields of 160 PS and 350 Nm. This current motor’s ancestor, again a 1.6-liter unit, keeps on being offered on the 2WD variation and churns out 120 PS.
The side profile and rear doesn’t get any noticeable changes.
The new 1.6-liter diesel can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission or another 9-speed automatic transmission. The 9-speed unit replaces the 5-speed unit, and accompanies a 20 percent lessening in CO2 discharges. The 2WD variations of the CR-V keep on being accessible with a 1.6-liter diesel and a 2.0-liter petrol.
The facelifted version is expected to come to India later this year in petrol guise only.
