2014 Porsche Panamera facelift – FrontView
The German car manufacturer, Porsche has today launched the Panamera facelift, the four-seater sports car in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.19 crore for the base petrol V6 (ex-showroom, Delhi). In India the vehicle is available in a total of 5 variants – the Panamera Turbo, the Panamer GTS, Panamera and Panamera 4 with V6 petrol, and the Panamera diesel.
The most notable aesthetic changes include revised headlights and taillights, a sleeker profile with the rear proportions, and updated front and rear lower fascias. The company claims that the larger chassis mounts offer even more comfort and greater solidity, while the advanced steering mounts provide a more direct response. There are also new lighter 18-inch alloys and an improved Porsche Stability Management System.
Some of the new standard features include an electric sun roof, Porsche Communication Management plus Navigation, BOSE sound system, Park Assist with reverse camera and Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). PASM does not feature in the entry-level V6 petrol variant. Optional equipment includes full LED headlights featuring Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, 1000 W Burmester Surround Sound System, and there’s the Porsche Exclusive Program for further customizing a Panamera.
2014 Porsche Panamera facelift – RearView
The Panamera Turbo offers a massive 512.8bhp of power and attains a top speed of around 305kmph. Despite being a powerful sports car, the vehicle claimed 9.8kmpl of fuel efficiency. The diesel model is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine that churns out maximum power output of 250bhp and 550Nm of top torque. It has a top speed of 244kmph and has a fuel economy of 15.9kmpl. The other two petrol engines are – a 3.6-litre V6 petrol that develops 310bhp and 400Nm of torque, and a naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 that produces 440bhp and 520Nm of torque.
