As already read by our dear readers at BharathAutos in our earlier post in the month of January 2014, Volkswagen had officially revealed the facelifted Polo featuring more powerful and efficient engine along with some minor upgrades to the styling than the existing model. Volkswagen has now finally showcased the 2014 facelifted Polo at the Geneva Motor Show which is scheduled for an Indian launch by mid 2014.
2014 facelifted Polo features updated front fascia, redesigned bumper inspired by the Golf Sports van, an optional first-in-segment LED headlights, new mirror housings for the headlights and an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. It also features an optional Sport Select suspension system providing electronically controlled dampers to switch between two suspension settings, new steering wheel, new instrument cluster, new seat fabrics and redesigned centre console with new AC controls.
Coming to the technical specifications, 2014 facelifted Polo is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The diesel variant is powered with the new 3 cylinder, 1.4-litre diesel engine which is in turn available in two power states i,e 75 PS and 90 PS. The petrol variant includes two 1.0-liter MPI engines, two 1.2-liter TSI engines and a 1.4-liter TSI engine with cylinder deactivation technology.
