Yamaha Fascino 113cc Scooter launched in India – Rs. 52,500

Teased some time ago, the Yamaha’s all-new scooter has been launched today christened as Yamaha Fascino. This retro looking model like the Piaggio Vespa is based on their Nozza Grande 125 cc automatic scooter but is priced lower than the Italian at Rs 52,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).

yamaha-fascino-scooter-rouge-redLike the other 3 scooters in Yamaha’s lineup, the Fascino too is targeted at the youth.

Design-wise, the Fascino with the stylish body design and the classic look that did give it a premium feel. Although the design cues are borrowed from the Nozza Grande, it has been re-styled to suit the Indian taste. With the new retro theme scooter, Yamaha is now offering four 110 cc scooters in Indian market including – Fascino, Alpha, Ray and Ray Z.

Powering the Fascino is the same tried and tested 113 cc petrol single cylinder engine that does duty in other scooters in Yamaha’s lineup. This engine churns out 7bhp at 7,500rpm and maximum torque of 8.1Nm at 5,000rpm. Like its mates, the all-new scooter is blessed with Yamaha’s revolutionary “Blue Core” technology that ensures a better combustion and fuel efficiency.

According to Yamaha’s standard test conditions, the Fascino delivers a mileage of 66 kmpl mileage, which is the highest claimed by any scooter on-sale in India.

The Yamaha Fascino is available in five shades – Rouge Red, Sassy Cyan, Haute White, Cool Cobalt and Tuxedo Black body colours. Weighing 103kg, it is the lightest scooter to be sold in India. The Fascino has a ground clearance of 128 mm and the fuel tank capacity is rated at 5.2-litres.
