New Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS fast proving to be well worth the wait

Showcasing another leap in technology, Bajaj Auto has recently unveiled new motorcycle model – Pulsar 200 NS. It will be commercially launched by April this year. As of now Bajaj has not revealed the price of new Pulsar 200 NS motorcycle, but it is speculated to be under 1lakh ex-showroom price, remember on-road it may cross Rs. 1lakh limit. It’s fast proving to be well worth the wait.

Pulsar 200 NS engine will have 3 sparks – Triple Spark Ignition System instead of the traditional twin – spark system which are seen in the current Pulsar motorcycles. Pulsar 200 NS is powered by a 199.5 cc engine that will generate a maximum power of 23 bhp @ 9,500 rpm and will deliver a maximum torque of 18.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Bajaj will manufacture Pulsar 200 NS at their unit in Chakan near Pune.

Dry weight of new Pulsar 200 NS is 145 kgs. Bajaj new Pulsar 200 NS will have a top speed of 136 kmph, making it one of the fastest motorcycle made by Indian manufacturer. Bajaj new Pulsar 200 NS will be able to accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 3.8 seconds while it will take just 9.8 seconds to cross 0-100 kmph mark. Apart from these exceptional figures, Pulsar 200 NS delivers a mileage of 58 kmpl when driven at a constant speed 55 kmph.

Mr Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto had stated earlier, “I am confident that the new Pulsar will be the most stunning sports bike in the world. It is also my belief that as much as DTS-i took the market by storm, the new technology in the Pulsar will shake up the market this decade.” Bajaj will be launching even powerful Pulsar variants next year.

Renault India has launched the much awaited new Koleos SUV in Delhi yesterday, before its world debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The Koleos has been priced at Rs. 22.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom price, Delhi) and comes with just one variant which will be fully loaded. The Koleos is a compact looking SUV which comes loaded with lots of attractive features and has good looks with high quality fit & finish. Renault Koleos is powered by a 2-litre common rail turbo diesel engine (dCi) with a maximum power output of 150PS@4000rpm and peak torque of 320Nm@2000rpm.
