Lamborghini has also kept a close relationship with the State Police of Italy. To keep this tradition going, the automaker has now decided to donate a special Lamborghini Huracan to them. Lamborghini’s CEO, Mr. Stephan Wingelmann, donated the car to Prefect Alessnadro Pansa, Italian State Police head, in a ceremony held in Rome’s ‘Museo delle Auto Storiche della Polizia di Stato.’

By the end of 2014, the Huracan with its ‘blu Polizia’ livery will be replacing Lamborghini Gallardo. The state police was donated with Gallardo in 2004 and then in 2008 it received the second generation Gallardo which is currently being used by them to enhance street security. Mr. Stephan Wingelmann was quite glad to present the new Huracan and referred to it as Italian super sports car excellence.

Lamborghini Huracan is the latest super car that has been launched by the automaker. The sports car made its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show held in March. The company disclosed that they have already received more than 1500 booking for this amazing new car even before 2014 Beijing Motor Show was held in April.

Lamborghini Huracan has been powered by a 5.2 L V10 powertrain. It offers a top speed of 202 mph. Thus, it is an ideal car for the police to catch law breakers and speedsters. With its awesome features and specifications, it is being expected that the Lamborghini Huracan will successfully replace Gallardo in the segment of the company’s bestselling car so far.

This special Huracan has not changes under the hood. But it will comes with a high tech video system, GPS, radio transmission, removable screen, gun holster, aerodynamically optimized police beacon with LEDs, refrigerated luggage compartment at its front, life-saving defibrillator as well as four sirens at its front and rear. We are sure the Italian State Police is equally delighted to have such a great car.
