Kia Motors showcased the SP Concept at the Auto Expo 2018 much to the delight of the audiences present there. The Korean automaker has already begun development of the vehicle and as per sources, it is likely to be christened the Trazor. This model will kick-off Kia Motors Indian innings, due for release in mid-2019.
As per a web based poll conducted by the automaker, four names were shortlisted for the SP Concept. These are namely the Trazor, Tusker, SP-Z and the Trailster. Out of the four, the Trazor has gained 63% of the votes, with the Tusker being second with 23% of the votes.
It is not yet finalised on what nameplate will the SP Concept mid-size SUV sport. The SP Concept was a showstopper when unveiled, having Kia’s signature “Tiger Nose” grille, LED lighting, 16- inch alloy wheels and an attractive design theme. We can expect the majority of the bits to remain with the production-spec car when it gets launched soon.
Kia Motors are having their Indian operations on full flow. The automaker has begun working on its upcoming plant to be located in the Anantpur region of Andhra Pradesh. As per reports, the Kia mid-size SUV will be followed by four new models from the automaker catering to different segments of the Indian Automotive industry.
