We have been constantly reporting about the much awaited Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500. Now AutoCarIndia reader Samir Khan has managed to snap these spy photographs of the same almost from every angle possible. Previously, we have brought you the spy pic but on these pics it reveals some interesting features of the T’bird 500.
From these spy pics, it is evident that the T’bird 500 features an all-new digital instrument cluster, hazard warning facility, and well proportioned fuel tank. Also the rear disc brake and rectangle section swingarm, with twin shock absorbers deployed at rear are visible. Besides this, ACI also reports that the latest Royal Enfield shall offer a handlebar lock system integrated within the ignition key slot.
The seat on the new version of the T’bird 500 has been completely redesigned to suit the new foot pegs position. And the seat can be opened by using a lock mechanism, accessible through the side panel. The bike has also given handle bar for better ergonomics and pillion grab rail is now an all new pressure die cast unit. In addition to that, the bike gets newly designed mirrors and a LED tail lamp with 41mm thick forks and the digital instrumental panel gets two digital trip meters.
Refresher – The Thunderbird 500 features a fuel injected, twin spark 500cc unit construction engine produces a peak power of 27.2 Bhp and delivers a prodigious peak torque of 41.3 Nm. The engine is mated to a five speed gearbox and uses maintenance free hydraulic tappets.
