The Japanese car maker Nissan had revealed NISMO evolved Sunny at the 2013 Super GT International Series, Malaysia which is also sold as Nissan Almera in Malaysia and Nissan Versa in USA. The facelifted Nissan Sunny introduced at the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show has been spotted in China where it would go on sale first.

As per the reports obtained by our friends at IndianAutosBlog, the Chinese media are claiming that the facelifted Nissan Sunny would make a debut at Chengdu Auto Show later this September, after which it would go on-sale by the end of the year. If everything goes as this plan, then the facelifted Nissan Sunny would be available probably at the beginning of the next-year in the Indian and other markets.

Mr. Etienne Henry, Nissan’s senior product planner at the Geneva Motor Show later this year speaking to IAB said that “What we intend to do with these products, Micra and Sunny, is to bring more character and more personality to the vehicle. And that’s the first direction. Another element is to bring more refinement and more premium-ness to the interior. These are the two key drivers for lifecycle activity of this product. You can expect some design changes – exterior, interior – as well as some new technology to come and support the car.”

Coming to the changes at the front, the facelifted Sunny gets a boomerang like headlights already seen on the New Micra, new grill with majority touch of chrome, new front bumper, new fog lamp housing which has also been given an additional chrome strip. At the rear, the design of the bumper has been slightly modified along with a bigger chrome strip at the boot door over the number plate housing.
