Bajaj to a update the Avenger, launch scheduled for early 2018

With the launch of the Suzuki Intruder 150 early this-month, Bajaj Auto is expected to feel the heat. This is because the Intruder 150 will be a direct rival to the Avenger Street 150 from Bajaj. So, the company has confirmed the launch of an updated Avengers series.

As per reports, the updated Avenger will be launched in March-2018. This will come from Bajaj in a bid to spoil Suzuki’s party. Since 2015, The Avenger has been a strong seller for Bajaj, despite being a premium offering from the company.

At the same time, Bajaj will also look to upgrade its existing range of bikes to keep them in demand. Coming back to the Avenger, not much information has been revealed so far about the bike. The Avenger does enjoy a big popularity in India and Bajaj will look to make the bike more retro to bring in more sales.

Currently sold in 3 variants Street 150, Street 220 and Cruise 220, all the 3 bikes come within 5 speed manual gearbox. While the former produces 14.5 bhp of power and 12.5 Nm of talk, the other 2 produce 9.03 and 7.5 Nm of power and torque respectively. Bajaj will look to make the battle with Suzuki more exciting.
