Moto Guzzi V7 Stone ABS to be launched in India soon – Bonneville, SuperLow rival considered

Legendary Italian brand, Moto Guzzi, now owned by Piaggio Group, has unveiled the V7 Stone ABS in India at 2015 India Bike Week (IBW) in Vagator, Goa, hinting at the motorcycle’s possible launch in the Indian market. Alongside, the company also displayed the V7 Racer at the event.

The report suggests that the Moto Guzzi has started the initial process of launching the V7 Stone in India and has already imported the bike for the Research & Development purposes. If launched, the V7 Stone will be the most affordable motorcycle in the company’s line-up, and will rival the likes of the Triumph Bonneville and the Harley-Davidson SuperLow.

The V7 Stone by Moto Guzzi is powered by a 744cc, air-cooled, 90-degree V-Twin engine tuned to produce 50 BHP of power at 6200 RPM and 58 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features Moto Guzzi Traction Control (MGCT) and dual-channel ABS. No doubt the motorcycle looks good but the affordability will be the major concern.

Although the launch of the V7 Racer in India is not confirmed at moment, Moto Guzzi is all-set to launch the V7 Stone in the Indian market sometime soon. Piaggio also displayed the Aprilia Shiver 750 at the 2015 India Bike Week (IBW) which could launch later this year.
