Maruti Suzuki Swift DLX special edition introduced, Rs. 4.54 lakh

A spruced-up, special edition model of Maruti’s top-selling model Swift has been introduced for the Indian market! Dubbed the Maruti Suzuki Swift DLX Special Edition, said hatch is based on the base ‘L’ variant – LXi (Petrol) and LDi (Diesel), and is presented exclusively as a cosmetic exercise with no mechanical changes whatsoever.

In exterior, the Swift DLX sports fog lights, body colored wing mirrors and door handles, and blacked out pillars. Step-inside you’ll notice the Sony FM music system that supports connectivity with Bluetooth, USB and is supported by four door speakers, front and rear power windows, and MID in the instrument console (calculates average fuel economy).

The Swift DLX special edition also sports safety features like central locking (iCat security system), child safety lock, engine immobilizer and smart warning indicators. It runs on 14-inch tubeless tyres. Prices starting at Rs 4.54 lakh for petrol and Rs 5.95 lakh for diesel, are cheaper than the mid-level VXi and VDi variants.

Mechanically, they aren’t any changes to the Swift petrol as well as the Swift diesel.
