DC Avanti and Eleron displayed at the Trailer Premiere of Dilwale!

DC Design has had a very close relationship with Bollywood and its stars since the beginning. Cars designed by DC design has been seen in Movies and Bollywood even went to the extent of Making a DC Design car the Lead in a Movie named Tarzan, which was also the name of the car in the movie. Apart from starring in Movies, DC design has been making the most luxurious and stunning Motor Homes and Vanity vans for the stars to stay in while on shooting sets for long duration’s.

Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan uses a DC Design Motor Home and at the premiere of the trailer of his latest movie, Dilwale, DC Design tried to gain maximum publicity by showcasing the DC Eleron and the DC Avanti at the Premiere Event. The Director of the Movie, Rohit Shetty is also a supposed fan of DC Design and also owns a DC Avanti, the First Indian Sportscar. The DC Cars might have featured in the movie as well, garnering more attention.

Well, Spotting a DC Avanti is not a Big deal anymore as it has already been launched and one can find hundreds of pictures and Videos of it Online, but not of the DC Eleron SUV. DC Design had first revealed the Eleron SUV at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi and it garnered a lot of attention from fans as well as critics and had since then been out of action, only to resurface at the Trailer Premiere of Dilwale.

It is clear that DC Design is trying to make the Eleron the centre of attraction now, as we can see the entire cast of the movie posing for Shutterbugs with the DC Eleron parked right behind them.

Measuring 5055mm long, 1965mm wide, 1710mm tall, the DC Eleron will be powered by a 2.0-litre Turbo charged Petrol engine with a claimed maximum power figure of 265 BHP and a maximum torque figure of 360 NM. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic gearbox, pushing the SUV to a 100 KMPH from standstill in a claimed 9 seconds and will go on to hit a claimed top speed of 200 KMPH. The SUV is built on a carbon composite space frame and will be riding on 22-inch alloy wheels.

The DC Eleron was supposed to be launched at a price tag of around INR. 35 lakhs after the 2014 Auto Expo, but that has not happened yet. But since the launch of the DC Avanti was a success, DC might finally be ready to put the Eleron on the roads too.
