The 400cc Pulsar was first unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo in two avatars – the RS400 and the CS400. Although there is no definitive confirmation from Bajaj Auto on the launch of its power cruiser CS400, the report has emerged about the launch of the RS400 that too surprisingly sooner than expected in early-2016.

The Pulsar RS400 will be powered by a KTM-derived 375cc, liquid cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke engine that is used to serve its close sibling KTM Duke/RC 390. The engine will generate a maximum power of 43Bhp along with a peak torque of 35Nm. Besides this, the motor also comes with the Bajaj’s patented triple spark technology and it uses a 6-speed gearbox to transmit the power to the rear wheels.

This will be Bajaj’s first ever 400cc motorcycle in India, with the idea to provide a reliable, easy to run and maintain motorcycle, which can be used for leisure biking and taken on tours and long rides.
