To make things much easier for you, we present you with the list of 9 countries that do not demand tedious and complicated paperwork. You can show up and drive against your Indian driving license. These 9 countries and their respective rules have been enlisted below:

 
1)  Great Britain (Drives on the left):
They permit you to drive against your Indian driving license for a year but only those class of vehicles which your license allows.
Indicative fuel cost: GBP5.96 a UK gallon (approximately Rs131.49 per litre)

2)  United States of America (Drives on the right):
They allow you to drive against your Indian driving license for a year. However, your license must be in English and should be valid. You will also have to carry a copy of I-94 form.
Indicative fuel cost: US$3.50 a gallon (approximately Rs56.11 per litre)

3)  Australia (Drives on the left):
Certain territories of the country permit you to drive on your Indian license on the vehicles that it allows. Some areas, such as Northern Territory permits you to drive only for 3 months.

4)  New Zealand (Drives on the left):
If you are 21 years old, you can drive on the vehicle listed in your Indian driving license for a year.

5)  France (Drives on the right):
The country allows Indian travelers to drive on their license for a year. The license must be valid and the driver should carry its French translation.

6)  Germany (Drives on the right):
The country allows Indian travelers to drive on their license for 6 months.

If your Indian driving license is valid, you can drive on the listed vehicle for a year.

The country allows Indian travelers to drive on their license for 3 months only if it is valid.

9)  South Africa (Drives on the left):
If your Indian driving license is valid, written in English and carries your photo and signature, you can drive against it. Though some car rental agencies demand IDP.
