Hindustan Petroleum opens KSP on World’s Highest Motorable Road

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Chandigarh Direct Sales Team of HPCL has conquered the summit – literally this time. They have inaugurated a Kerb Side Pump (KSP) at a height of 15,300 feet at South Pullu on Leh-Khardungla Road, which is the world’s highest motorable road. This may be the highest petroleum dispensing facility ever installed anywhere in the world.

The KSP was inaugurated recently by the Commanding Officer, Indian Army & Border Roads (at -15 Deg Celsius) in the presence of HPCL’s Chandigarh Direct Sales team.

Building of infrastructure at the Army & Border Road locations is a crucial activity. HPCL Chandigarh Direct Sales Regional Office services a major share of the Army & Border Roads business and was assigned with the task of installation of 125 KSPs, mostly in challenging terrains. While 60 KSPs have been completed, work on the balance locations is progressing fast.
