Volkswagen Polo 180 TSI spotted, likely to get 1.4 TSi engine

Yes, the Volkswagen Polo 180 TSi has arrived in India, but before you and me can get our hands on it, the lucky folks at VW will need to test the car (what exactly they do, we have no idea) and give their thumbs up!

When launched, the VW Polo 180 TSi will compete with the 147 PS Fiat Punto Abarth

The Polo seen here wears a “TSi” badge in-line with a “180” emblem, so it could well be the international-spec 150 PS/250 Nm 1.4-litre 4 cyl TSi turbo-petrol engine. This engine is likely paired to a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox, sending power to front wheels, as with all Polos.

In India, the VW Polo 180 TSi will slot between the GT TSi and the recently launched GTi

There are no changes to its exterior, save for the ‘180 TSI’ chrome plated badging on the tailgate and 15-inch “TOSA” alloy wheels from the Polo Highline trim.
