TVS Wego has been a very successful scooter in the TVS portfolio in terms of sales and performance. The colors and styling of the scooter has attracted both the genders equally and also offers a comfortable ride. Now the 2013 variant of the Wego will have an option of having front disc brakes in India. The disc brake variant of the Wego has always been in production but only for export markets and TVS has finally decided to sell it here as well.
The Wego with a disc brake option will be available at a price of Rs. 49,157, while the drum brake variant gets a price tag of Rs 45,807 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi), that is approximately Rs. 3000 more than the standard variant. Having a disc brake is a good choice since it’s much more efficient and long lasting. So far the only scooter with disc brake was the Honda Aviator, but now Wego joins the club.
All the other features and the structure remain unchanged, having said that the Wego will have the same 109.7 cc 4-stroke engine that is peppy and has a good feel, all the while returning a good mileage in the range of 38 – 40 kmpl. It comes in six colour options, namely, Capuccino brown, Electric green, Mercury grey, Midnight black, Volcano red and Sporty white. With the Wego going for disc brakes there are lots of chances, other company might also come up with disc brake options.
