South India based two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motors which has lost its third position by volumes to HMSI (Honda Motors and Scooters India ltd.) is now trying to regain its lost market position and the Radeon 125 could be one such product that can deliver good volumes to boost its sales in 2012.

The Radeon 125DX was first showcased at Auto Expo 2012, but during the event the officials mentioned that the body will be completely re-structured and will not look like a Jive with some new graphics and colour when ready for production. The motorcycle will be given decent looks and disc brake too is expected. The bike will also feature class leading fuel-efficiency along with very competitive price tag.

The launch is confirmed in an interview with CNBC, Mr. HS Goindi, president marketing, TVS Motor revealed that the new125cc motorcycle is expected to hit the showrooms in the month of July or August this-year. Also, the brand is expected to re-launch the Victor brand by the end-2012.

He further added saying, that the new motorcycle will enhance their motorcycle portfolio and will help them to grow their motorcycle business in India. He also admitted that Jive did not perform as per the expectation due to relatively lower market size.
