SPIED: TVS Apache RTR 200 captured sans camouflage, LED DRLs on offer

Yes, we know, the TVS Apache RTR 200 has been captured a hundred times. This round, however, the upcoming Pulsar 200 NS-fighter has been photographed with most, if not all, of its camouflage stripped away.

As a result, this batch of photos you see here is probably the closest thing you’ll get to the finished article prior to its confirmed debut on January 20, 2015. Although the launch date is out, other details still remain sketchy with a bunch of reports only available for reference. The new Apache 200 will be launched in India first, thereafter in South East Asian countries like Indonesia.

Another set of spy pictures from Indonesian publication Otomotifnet, expose the model’s a digital instrument cluster, a familiar looking headlamp cluster with a halogen bulb, and white boomerang-shaped DRLs that don’t quite blend with the yellow headlamp hue. When the production-spec model makes it appearance in the near future, expect a slightly more aggressive overall design.

The Apache RTR 200 sports black 10-spoke alloy rims with a meatier rubber. Also there’s a generous helping of lightweight alloy used for parts by TVS, including the handlebars, footrests and their mounts. Expect power output to match segment rivals. As for what lies under the skin, an all-new 200cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with SOHC and oil-cooler, mated likely to a 5-speed gearbox.
