New Vista vs New Swift – Clearly Ahead – Advertorial

Tata Vista is a good option in the B-category hatchbacks. It competes with some of the top models like Maruti Swift, Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse, Hyundai i20, Fiat Punto, Toyota Etios Liva and Volkswagen Polo. But Tata Motors choose to challenge Maruti Swift the second best seller in the Indian car market at present. This new programmed is called ‘Clearly Ahead’ campaign, in which the company claims the Vista is clearly ahead of the Maruti Swift.

Tata Motors as also set-up a brand new microsite which shows viewers the comparison between both the cars. The first difference mentioned in the website include the unmatched performance, as both the car share same Fiat 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine the engine specifications remain the same. But in terms of mileage the Swift was ahead of the Vista by 0.6 kmpl.

The other comparisons shown in the website are unmatched space, unmatched interior, unmatched features, unmatched warranty and unmatched price where Tata Vista is a clear winner. Also the company rounded off the comparison with a pie chart detailing the online mentions of both the cars. Tata Vista enjoyed 42% positive mentions as compared to the 37% positive mentions of the Swift. The negative mentions of the Vista were also less than that of the Swift.

Porsche has just pulled the virtual covers off of the latest generation Porsche Boxster. And although Porsche has been known to stick to the sayings, “evolution instead of revolution” and “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” the Porsche Boxster has pretty much been significant updates to the previous generation-much like the 911. I mean, this latest version is only the third generation and the Boxster has been with us since 1996. But this time around, Porsche isn’t kidding when they say that this is an all-new Boxster. Internally named the Type 988, the new Boxster is the most thoroughly updated model since the predecessor, the Type 987, which debuted almost eight years ago. Much like the latest 911, the internally coded 991, the Porsche Boxster 988 gets a completely new lightweight body, allowing it to ride on a longer wheelbase with a wide track, all while weighing less than the outgoing model. Visually, the Boxster receives some of the treatments that were first seen on the Panamera, such as the more raked trunkline and the taillights. Thanks to a changeover to electromechanical power steering and the new body, the new Boxster is also 15% more fuel-efficient on the European cycle. Powering the new Boxster is a new 2.7L flat-four, good for 265hp, while the new Boxster S gets an updated 3.4L flat-four that makes 315hp. Both feature standard manual cog swappers while Porsche’s PDK-nonsense (pronunciation-wise at least at an English standpoint) is also available. Sprints to 60 clock in at 5.4 seconds for the standard Boxster and 4.7 seconds with the real-man’s three-pedal setup. Porsche didn’t say them, but I’d expect some slightly quicker times with the PDK. The Boxster features an Alcantara interior, 18in alloys, auto stop/start and Sports mode, remote control hood operation, audio CD with 7in colour touch-screen control, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity and a three-year warranty. The Boxster S adds 19in alloys, partial leather interior and Bi-Xenon headlights in addition to the power advantage of the larger 3.4-litre engine.   Also see - 2012 Porsche Boxster S Black Edition gets Extra 10-hp   See more pictures of 2013 Porsche Boxster -
