Home-grown car manufacturer, Tata Motors has today launched the CNG version of the country’s most affordable small car, the Nano, christened as ‘Nano emax’. The Nano emax CNG is being offered with a combination of 624cc petrol + CNG motor. In petrol mode, the small car is capable of developing a maximum power output of 37.5bhp and 51Nm of torque, while in CNG mode, it develops 32.5bhp and 45Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed (4 Forward and 1 reverse) manual transmission. An engine management system will enable on-the-fly switching between petrol and CNG.
