Tata Motors recently also launched another new Tata Divo premium ultra luxury intercity bus.  The new and modern way for practical long distance travel was announced with the Tata Starbus Ultra. Tata Divo Luxury Coach is specially designed for intercity commuting and ideally suited for tourist operations in the country.  Hispano Carrocera of Spain, one of Tata Motor’s subsidiary companies, designs the main body.

Tata Divo is designed to offer tourists and commuters the ultimate comfort making it ideal for long distance travel.  Among some of the luxury features which are sure to find favour among passengers are the wide seats with 135 degree inclining facilities along with head and arm rests, personalized AC control, individual reading lights, a fully-fledged entertainment system with DVD player and 2 LCD screens, mobile charging points, destination board, public address system and last but by no means the least an on board refrigerator.  Besides commuter comforts, Tata Motors has also ensured driver comforts as there is a pneumatic suspension seat, electronic accelerator pedal, highly efficient gear shift and a state of the art dashboard and instrument cluster.

Where an engine specification are concerned, the Divo is BS III compliant and is fitted with a 285 HP Cummins engine with a 6 speed overdrive gearbox offering an enhanced level of fuel efficiency. Extended life of the Divo is guaranteed due to its large 430mm diameter clutch. Prices start from Rs.66 lakhs (Ex showroom Thane) for this Tata Motors BSIII offering.

  Ford has officially confirmed the unveiling of the new Fiesta in India. The company will take wraps off the upcoming car at Delhi on the 14th of April, 2011. There is an event hosted by Ford India in Delhi on 14th April for which it has invited many auto journalists, but there is no information in the invite about the event details. The company recently launched the Fiesta Classic in India, which is going to compete in the entry level segment. New Ford Fiesta will now have to fight against the market leader Honda City, VW Vento and also the upcoming Nissan Sunny and Hyundai Verna. The all new Ford Fiesta 2011 will feature 1.6 Litre VVTI MPFI Petrol engine churning out a nice 118BHP of power and a 1.6 Litre TDCI Duratorq Turbocharged CRDI Diesel Engine with 90 BHP of peak power. Both the diesel and petrol variants will be mated to 5 speed manual transmission. There is no indication of an Automatic transmission variant as yet, but until something official comes out, a possibility cannot be ruled out. Also there are rumours’ of new Fiesta having ABS as standard which is a great safety feature especially for unsafe roads of India.
