Tata Indica eV2
Tata Motors knows how much competition is there in the Indian car bazaar and to keep-up with the same, it has slashed the prices of its hatchback, Tata Indica eV2 by Rs.45,000. The new price for BSIV variant starts from Rs 4.13 lakhs and Rs 3.87 lakhs for BSIII model (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). The BS IV variant of Indica eV2 diesel comes equipped with Air Conditioner and Power steering.
This price slash is done to make the competition stronger on Maruti’s petrol engine powered Wagon-R. As you can see in their advert above, Tata has taken on the Wagon R and states, “Indica eV2 races ahead of Wagon R.”
New Tata Indica eV2 diesel is powered by CR4 diesel engine which is very fuel efficient and generates maximum power of 70 Bhp at 4000 rpm with maximum torque of 140 Nm at 1800 rpm. As per the ARAI reports Indica eV2 returns mileage of 25 kmpl which makes it the most fuel efficient hatch in its segment. The petrol variant of Indica eV2 is powered by an 1193cc MPFi engine which generates maximum power of 65 bhp at 5000 rpm with maximum torque of 99.8 nm at 2700 rpm.
Clutch to start feature ensures that the driver cannot crank the engine unless the clutch is fully engaged, thereby avoiding the risk of recrank when the engine is on. The Auto drive assist feature ensures that the engine does not stall even if the foot is completely taken off the clutch pedal, enabling the driver to easily shift his foot to the accelerator when driving on hilly roads or other inclined surfaces.
