Tata Falcon 5 compact sedan speculated rendering

The Falcon 4 hatch will be launched alongside the existing range of Vista range, while the Falcon 5 compact sedan will be an sub-4-metre car, but there is still some confusion on whether the ‘Falcon 5’ will replace the Manza or will just be based on the Manza, but we’re sure that this confusion will be cleared earlier next-month. Tata Falson 5 will be launched to take on the D-segment leaders like Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Honda Amaze and upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 sedan.

Now the folks at CarToq have rendered speculated picture of Falcon 5 compact sedan. And say the Falcon 5′s rear-end will not be like a truncated sedan, but in fact will have smoother design geometry, a-la-the Honda Amaze. On the inside, it will take off from the driver centric design/Human Machine Interface that Tata Motors plans to kick start through the Falcon range. New materials and improved quality levels are two expected outcomes from the Falcon 5′s interiors.

Under the hood, the diesel version of the Falcon duo will come powered by the existing 1.3-litre Multijet from Fiat. While the petrol variants will use a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine based on the XETA motor. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine will be mated to the 5-speed manual gearbox (TA65) but again, it has been significantly improved with a smoother shift.
