Ever since the launch in South Korea, the Tivoli was rumored to launch in India. The company kept on postponing due to some unknown reasons. In India, the Tivoli will compete against the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Length and height – wise the Tivoli is shorter than the Creta, although, the width and wheelbase is more than that of the Creta.

This heavily camouflaged test mule rides on a 16-inch twin 5-spoke alloy wheels. It is likely to be powered either by a 1.6-litre petrol engine or 1.6-litre diesel engine. The petrol unit produces 128 PS and 160 Nm of torque, mated to manual and automatic transmissions. While the diesel mill develops 115 PS and 300 Nm of torque between 1,500-2,500 rpm range, paired to a 6-speed Aisin automatic or manual transmissions.
