Spy Shots – Next gen Hyundai i10 caught in lenses at Bangalore-Mysore road

Next-gen Hyundai i10 (Spied)

Already enough pictures of the next-gen Hyundai i10 have been uploaded over the web which shows that Hyundai Motors are putting their full efforts in testing the new hatch. Ever since the launch of Hyundai i10, it has been one of the top selling Hyundai cars in India, now the company has set itself in introducing the new version of this car with diesel option so that it can compete other rivals in this class like Maruti Ritz, Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat & so. This car is expected to be unveiled at this September’s Frankfurt Motor Show and only after the event we can expect the full details to emerge.

From the spy pictures available it is clearly seen that this car would be a bigger car than the current version and the headlamps resemble that the car is the next iteration of the firm’s super successful Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy. The pictures were caught by a Team-BHPian Pardus who spotted the car during a test run somewhere on the Bangalore-Mysore road. There were a total three i10s and one next-generation Santa Fe SUV. Although there are rumors that next-gen i10 will not replace current-gen i10, instead could be named ‘i15’ and fill the gap between i10 and i20. But we say the next-gen i10 will replace the existing version of the car.

The next-gen i10 interiors will feature better quality materials while legroom is expected to be the best in its segment. Based on an entirely new platform, the next-gen i10 will have both the petrol and diesel engine options in India, while the petrol motor will be the same 1.2-litre Kappa2 engine used in the current-gen, the diesel is likely to be a new 1.1-litre mill, which has been said to the company’s smallest diesel unit. Much anticipation is expected to know how this car would be priced and also about the fuel efficiency. The current-gen i10 is speculated to undergo one more final facelift by the end of 2013.
