Spy Shots – 2013 Royal Enfield Cafe Racer 535 caught in lenses near Mangalore

2013 Royal Enfield Cafe Racer 535

In November-2012, we had reported that the Royal Enfield Café Racer aka Continental GT was slated for a mid-2013 launch with the classy looking machine being a 2014 model. Now the firstever spy picture of the same has hit the web, thanks to the folk named Abhijith Avabhratha for having shared the picture on Facebook. The bike was spotted at Trasi beach, 108 km from Mangalore and the bike carries the trademark red color.

The Café Racer was first showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo and since then it has been teasing us with on and off rumors about it being launched. Finally with this spy picture, it seems that Royal Enfield is ready to launch the bike in second half of this year. The Cafe Racer is powered by a 535cc EFI single cylinder engine and it produces a power output of over 35bhp.

From the above spy picture, we can see the cropped front mudguard, elongated fuel-tank, sporty clip-on handlebars and spoke rims, apart from a flat, comfortable riding saddle with ample room for two. The production version of-course does have a lot of changes to the original version displayed at the Auto Expo 2012 making it a more affordable version. These pictures have also been confirmed by the official Twitter handle of Royal Enfield.

Once launched, 2013 Royal Enfield Cafe Racer will be the flagship model in Royal Enfield line-up!
