Couple of weeks before we brought you the firstever spy pictures of the Toyota Innova facelift spotted in Bangalore doing the trail-run with minimum camouflage. Now for the first time, the undisguised images of the Toyota Innova facelift are out in the open and thanks to IndianAutosBlog (IAB) reader Gurudatta Nayak, for the snap.
These images of the Innova facelift snapped during the shoot for its TV commercial in Goa. Besides this Fiat Punto, Chevrolet Beat etc are few to be named besides Maruti which have done various commercials for its popular models.
This Innova facelift was first unveiled at the Indonesian Motor Show this year and has already been launched in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Indonesia. In India, Toyota will showcase the re-styled 2012 Toyota Innova at the expo however it is believed Toyota will launch the Innova at another exclusive event. So we now know the launch is around the corner
The most obvious change is at the front where you get a new grille and bumper that reminds you of the Toyota Camry facelift and helps widen the appearance of the Innova.
The side features revised side protection moldings and a wider chrome trip running beneath teh center line of the Innova. Toyota also says there are more prominent creases on the wheel arches and more distinctive character lines on the fenders, which help the Innova look more dynamic. At the rear, the biggest changes are the new tail lamps.
On the interior, the dashboard has been revised to have a more “horizontal” orientation which separates the center console into an upper and lower zone. The air condition blow, speed and temperature controls have been replaced with sleek buttons. The steering wheel has received a bit of re-styling, looks more like the Altis steering wheel. Rest of the interior has not changed.
A small upward price revision is likely to accompany this new launch with the same 2.5-litre diesel motor coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission with no technical changes under the hood.
