Thanks to IndianCarsBikes photographer who has successfully managed to get some spy shots of the all new Tata Indica with mysterious 90 badging. Spied outside the Tata factory at Pimpri, the Tata Indica 90 facelift gets a lot of upgrades from its sedan counterpart, Tata Indigo.
Other pleasant upgrades to the Tata Indica 90 facelift include new headlights, new grille, new bumper, fog lamps, and the “90″ badging. Though these upgrades, will not be easily differentiating new Indica from the Indigo eCS.
What is really interesting? is the ‘90’ badges on abundance on the hatchback. We wonder if Tata is preparing to gift the cab drivers with a 1.3L multijet diesel mill equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger(VGT) generating 90 hp, source from Fiat Auto for the upgraded Indica.
Though there are doubts regarding the 90 hp being installed in the new Indica facelift. However, we do know the Indica 90 hp diesel will be the most powerful hatchback ever to go for production under brand Tata Motors and even in its segment, if launched.
Ever wondered why Tata Motors isn’t really coming up with brand new products? According to the same, “A top Tata official associated with new product development, whom we won’t name for obvious reasons, told Team ICB that Cyrus Mistry, the Chairman designate of the Tata group, in a series of internal meetings, has reportedly asked the engineers to first focus on improving the current product range.”
