The South Korea’s largest automaker, Hyundai Kia Automotive Group has caught the headlines when its hottest next generation Kia Picanto has spotted again in India. Kia has had its eye on India for some years now, and this may be evidence that plans are moving forward. This hatchback car will make the global premiere in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in month of March.
As per some sources, the Kia Picanto will come with a Hyundai badge but simultaneously there are rumours that Hyundai already enjoying the dominance over the compact car segment (including from A to B) therefore it would be an exceptional case. The Kia Picanto will be sharing same design and few technical features with its sibling Hyundai i10 at more affordable price.
The constantly increasing market competition makes the automakers to trim down their price figures to allure the maximum of the crowd like recently Skoda has introduced the more economical price list as compare to the Volkswagen.
The next generation Kia Picanto will come powered with a 1.2 litre, four cylinder petrol Kappa engine or a one litre, three-cylinder Kappa engine (petrol, flex fuel & bi-fuel) offering maximum power between 85PS & 94PS and a peak torque of 121Nm & 94Nm respectively. It will be an environment friendly hatchback car with the minimum CO2 emissions in between 95g/km to 105g/km.
Its five door and three door variants will be available for the buyers. The more extended dynamics and wheelbase of Kia Picanto give refreshing feel. The overall exterior has got fine makeover. Whereas, the interior offers 27% extra cargo space and ultimate feel of comfort. The all new Kia Picanto will be a perfect choice for the buyers aspiring for the fuel efficient, eco friendly and affordable compact car.
