In Brazil, the Korean car maker Hyundai has recently released a teaser for its upcoming car Hyundai HB20 that has genes similar to the Indian Hyundai i20. Now a Brazilian website named UOL CARROS has snapped some pics of fiery red Hyundai HB20 doing rounds of Brazilian roads without any camouflage whatsoever. From the pictures it appears to be late night hours when the car is making rounds of the Paulista Avenue, in Sao Paulo, Brazil most likely for a photo shoot.

It is expected that the car manufacturer will be launching the HB20 in Brazil in September – October. But don’t expect Hyundai HB20 to be launched anytime in India instead the styling of this car influences Hyundai’s upcoming mini SUV that will challenge the Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster in India. The HB20 is based on Hyundai i20’s platform and the upcoming mini SUV too, besides these also the sedan version is on the cards based on similar platform.

Compared to the Indian cousin i20, the HB20 is much sleeker, sharper and sportier with the Hyundai’s latest design philosophy. The Fluidic design language is quite pronounced on the new HB 20 and it gives the car a very appealing exterior look. At the rear, the tail lamps with sleek ends merging beautifully with the rear boot door and sizes of the HB20 give a really sporty and futuristic look.

Under the hood, this car will be deriving a new engine from Kia Picanto and will be powered by a 1.0-litre three cylinder engine outputting a maximum power of 80 hp. Another engine option in the offering is the 1.6-litre 130 hp more powerful one. The engines run on petrol and ethanol as per the Brazilian norms.

Vespa scooters would be running again on Indian roads as Italian Auto Company Piaggio, has planned to reintroduce its iconic scooter after more than a decade. The Vespa 125 cc gearless scooter will be the first to roll out and would be available in 35 cities across India after its launch in April 2012. "The company has already set up a manufacturing facility at Baramati in Maharashtra for the production of the scooter with the initial capacity of 1,50,000 units. We will ramp up the capacity to 3,00,000 units as the demand increases," Piaggio Vehicles Chairman & Managing Director Ravi Chopra said. By bringing Vespa to India, Piaggio aims to make a premium segment for its brand. To further spruce up things, Vespa will introduce its Vespa club, an elite group of enthusiasts who own Vespa scooters in India. While the Vespa brand will have 50 dealerships in India by end-2012, there will also five superbike dealerships by the end of the year. Piaggio might also consider introducing the Moto Guzzi 1200 Norge GT as a CBU in the coming months depending on the response the product gets at the Expo. Piaggio currently has four two-wheelers available as CBUs at its Pune showroom - the Aprilia RSV4, Tuono, Mana, and Dorsoduro.   Also see - Piaggio All Set To Roll Out Vespa Scooter By March 2012 Spied – Vespa LX125 at Baramati near Pune (Updated)
