Spied – Force Motors SUV Once Again

Force Motors SUV Spied In India

Force Motor’s new SUV which was supposed to be unveiled officially last month has been spotted again. The new SUV from Force Motors has been spotted at a Boat Club in Pune. Force India’s SUV is expected to compete against the likes of M&M Scorpio, and Tata Safari. Force Motor’s SUV will feature a 2.2 litre engine which offers better fuel efficiency.

The company has taken help from foreign consultants for adapting the SUV to Indian conditions and also regarding the NVH level. The size and design specifications of Force Motor’s new SUV seem promising enough to compete against SUV giants. Force Motors has been trying real hard to get every aspect of the new SUV right. SUV’s like Scorpio from M&M, and Safari have been very popular with Indian customers in the past. It remains to be seen if Force Motor’s new SUV grabs the attention of Indian consumers, and how well it performs on Indian roads.

In an exclusive interview with Autocar India, Prasan Firodia, MD, Force Motors says “the powertrain technology being offered would be best in the segment. The SUV uses a C-in-C chassis that’s been designed and developed in-house by Force Motors. We are very happy with the performance of our prototypes.”

Force Motors is building the SUV at its Pithampur plant. Around Rs 150crore has been invested in the project which will have an installed annual production capacity of 24,000 units. The company has set up a new vertical for R&D, manufacturing, marketing & sales of the new SUV. Force Motors is also making changes in its retail network for its new product.
