Spied – Compact Swift Dzire

Compact Swift Dzire

AutocarIndia published a spy pic of the sub-4 meter Dzire based on the 2011 Swift platform. The car was caught testing in Gurgoan. Maruti Suzuki India will launch the new Swift Dzire with a shorter boot then the current model  which helps the car to qualify for the lower excise duty and the price could be lowered by Rs. 30,000-40,000.

The car will come with the same engine options as the current Dzire and will be ready for production by November 2011 with launch expected at the 2012 Auto Expo.

Tata Motors was the first to introduce the Indigo with a short boot, a new concept which was not considered seriously until the car sales shot up. Mahindra is also readying the new Verito’s shorter variant and expected to go on sales by mid 2011.

Current out going model of swift looked better compared to D-zire.Even they sold D-zire very well , it looked very odd with a boot attached to swift hatch.
But the new one with compact boot behind and fresh treatment to the front ,in my opinion, new d-zirre looks better than the new siwft.

Audi Q3 which is much awaited product will now soon hit the Indian roads by this june. According to Audi initially offer a fully loaded, all-wheel drive version powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre, 177bhp diesel with plans to launch a 2.0-litre direct-injection petrol variant circa September. We drove the diesel in Zurich last year and initial impressions point at a soft-roader that’s adequately quick, reasonably spacious and built to Audi’s high standards. We did find the diesel a tad noisy when revved though. The Q3 has one crucial advantage over its direct rival, the BMW X1. Where the X1 looks like a hopped up Estate, the Q3 has proper SUV proportions – something that’s sure to appeal to Indian customers. Audi Q3 in India is expected to be priced anywhere between 23 – 24 lakh rupees. Also see - Audi Q3 by MTM previewed ahead of Geneva debut
